Our friends in the IWW IWOC (Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee) are asking for more community involvement in getting holiday cards out to those incarcerated this year. The holidays can be an especially discouraging period if you’re doing time.
If you would like to send holiday greeting cards to friends and fellow workers in prison, please send a note to the IWOC facebook page and we will provide you with addresses. Please use a PO Box for the return address so that strangers and prison staff do not have your home address.
Please keep in mind that many of the people in prison are Muslim so non-religious winter greeting cards are probably best.
